The idea for the FUFA scholarship was implemented on January 3, 2003. Our inspiration for FUFA came during a trip to different parts of sub-Saharan Africa in December of 2002. In the length of our trip, we observed numerous instances in which students enrolled in four year universities were stranded at home with no means to pay for all of their school expenses for that year and the upcoming school year, many had given up on continuing their education altogether. What shocked us about this observation was how rampant the problem was. We knew that we could do something to provide some relief to such a continental problem. We then decided to make FUFA one of the objectives of our fundraising initiatives. It is truly better to give than to receive. We are very proud of our FUFA Scholarship accomplishments and want to sincerely thank you, our online customer, for all of your support over the years. Together, we made a positive impact in the lives of the following students:
